Welcome to the Sunday Stills feature created and hosted by Terri Webster Schrandt You can find Terri’s post here.

I’m not sure if it’s National Pet Parents Day in Britain but we don’t need an excuse to celebrate pets. I was never allowed a dog growing up so the first thing I did when I married and had a house of my own was (you guessedit!) get a dog. I can’t find the one photo of my first German Shepherd but it was 1981 when we got her. When we lost her, I found Meg.

The worst thing about having animals is when you lose them and although you never forget them I don’t like being being without one.
Jenna came next. This was the day I took her home. Look at those little pink pads…

She loved playing in the snow

Now we have Finn, a rescue Lurcher/Saluki. He’s quite young in these photos but has always been a real couch potato, he loves relaxing and sleeping, although he is getting on a bit now so we indulge him 😉

He doesn’t balance plant pots on his head any more either!

Aww, your furbabies over the years are so sweet, Cathy! Your shepherds are so majestic. I grew up with collies, but love my spaniels! Finn is so sweet, even with a plant growing out of his head 😁🐾
