We’re still under fairly strict restrictions here so I’ve been enjoying watching the garden birds.

I think the dunnock and robin are juveniles? They look very fluffy. This little one is having a stretch before settling down for a sunbathe.

A baby blue tit having a peek at the outside world.

The adults are keeping up their energy levels with plenty of seeds and nuts.

Lots of tasty insecty type treats to be found in the shrubs and plants

  1. Fantastic photography, Cathy. Watching the wildlife in the garden is so calming to do. I’ve missed so much. It’s one of the things lockdown has taught me to do more. I especially love watching the robins. I thought they only appeared in the winter. What a myth that is.

    1. Thanks so much, Hugh. Exactly the same for me. It’s surprising what you see. I’ve never seen birds flitting around the garden foliage, catching bugs. I love the robins too and it’s lovely that we’ve had nests around and about.

  3. Cathy, I think birds are quite entertaining and they have certainly enjoying less humans around. Lovely photos as we rarely see them, over here a Robin is referred to as a Toutouwai and not as colourful as yours.
