Lisa Coleman’s bird weekly challenge for week 12 is seagulls. Something we have no shortage of here. They favour chimney pots and roof tops and act as an early morning call.

This juvenile herring gull was calling out for ages but gave up eventually and tried another spot on a different rooftop.

We saw this gull on holiday one year. I think it’s a young black headed gull and he only had one leg. I thought at first he’d tucked one leg up, as they do, but it was obvious when he flew off there was a leg missing.

Stood on a rock in isolated splendour in the middle of Snowdonia.

I used an app to give this photo a digital art look

Low flying bird! Possibly the black backed gull…

Nice gallery of gulls. It’s great seeing them in other places besides the beach. I love your artwork. What ap did you use to do that? I want to do something similar with my songbirds & put them on coffee mugs.

Thanks Cathy. I also started watching YouTube videos yesterday on photoshop tricks. This is part of photoshop I’ve never explored. I will do a blog in a couple of days on the results of my first attempt. It’s okay. 🙂
