Lisa Coleman’s Bird Weekly Challenge this week features birds with long legs.
The feature photo is a favourite of mine, the lapwing. Below is a redshank. The photos were taken at a local RSPB nature reserve where both species arrive for the winter.

Little egrets are more or less a permanent fixture.

Yeah, I saw it finally after I read over it 3 times. I added it to the Round-Up last night. I’ve never seen a lapwing. LOL! 🙂
