Welcome to the Sunday Stills feature hosted by Terri Webster Shrandt. This week the prompt is the ‘Great Outdoors’

This photo, along with the header, were taken on the beautiful Llanddwyn Island, a small tidal island off the coast of Anglesey, facing out over the Irish Sea and the southern entrance to the Menai Strait, with views of Snowdonia.

The following images were taken on walks in and around Snowdonia. All these photos encapsulate my idea of the great outdoors.

The view from Dunster castle in Somerset, over the edge of Exmoor National Park towards the Bristol Channel.

Love the snowcapped mountain! The contrast of colours makes it really interesting to the eye.

Thanks, Paul. It was a good mixture of light, shade, rock and grassy bits.

I google-mapped your locations, Cathy! Snowdonia looks amazing, it has everything! That snowcapped mountain looks much like the Eastern Sierra Nevada in Northern California east of Yosemite. Love the shot of Bristol Channel. Stunning shots and quite fun to “travel” with you virtually today!

Wonderful. You’d think some of them were in American, not Great Britain!
