Welcome to the Sunday Stills feature created and hosted by Terri Webster Schrandt
The theme for Sunday Stills this week is ‘straight’. The first thing that came to mind was the horizon and, although we know it’s not actually straight, it looks that way to us.
The church steeple seeming to reach up to the sky.
The angle of the sun is casting shadows in straight lines across this wooden walkway.
The Red Arrows display team are leaving perfectly straight smoke trails.
A suspended bridge looks fairly straight…until you walk on it! Especially if someone behind you starts making it sway!
The back of the bench provides a handy perch for a little dunnock.
A well tended grassy pathway to a covered seating area.

I haven’t seen a wren for such a long time, it was a treat to see this one collecting nesting material.
This dunnock framed himself perfectly in the lattice fencing
I know there’s something down there!
Going for the above ground option
I cheated for this one and stepped outside. The raven is still hanging around the rooftops.
After months of storms it was lovely to watch the birds enjoying some long awaited sunshine, especially as we’re confined to quarters at the moment.
The blue tits are nesting in the bird house and enjoying the cherry blossom.
Maybe the robins are nesting nearby too, although I haven’t seen any evidence of it, except that they’re around a lot, which is lovely.
I’ve haven’t noticed these little dunnocks before, they flit about so quickly it took patience and a hefty dose of luck to capture them standing still.
