My choice for Cee’s flower of the day challenge (29th June) is buddleia, or butterfly bush, as it’s also known.
My entry for Cee’s flower of the day challenge (14th June) is hebe. We have several of these shrubs which are great for attracting bees and butterflies. At the moment they’re swarmimg with bees and a lone butterfly.
This tiny, pretty little butterfly was fluttering around the garden as I sat in the sunshine. Too quick for me to get close with the macro lens so I stayed at a short distance and clicked as soon as it landed. I’m grateful to have outdoor space to enjoy in these uncertain times.
Welcome to the Sunday Stills feature created and hosted by Terri Webster Schrandt
Today’s theme is Fantastic Florals.
The hedgerows are becoming a riot of colour with flowers beginning to bloom, makes my early morning dog walk more of a pleasure.
The lovely display below was from our visit to Warkworth last year.
Butterflies and bees love the hebe, daisies and buddleia and we had more last year than ever before. It would be nice if this year was as good, adding a little more interest in the garden.
